California Inclusive Sailing CIS is a volunteer based charity dedicated to inclusive outdoor recreation. A few dreamers came together in 2014 and decided to share their passion for sailing with people of all abilities. CIS sails on the 16’ RS Venture adaptive sailboat which is ideal to include up to four sailors. Today, we have six Ventures between California and Utah. Two Ventures are in Newport Beach, home to Team CIS. One Venture is at the Long Beach YC. Another Venture is with a program called LIFESAIL in Marina Del Rey. Venture #5 is at the Lake Washington Sail Club in Sacramento. Venture #6 is at 7’000’ elevation on beautiful Lake Jordanelle with the Park City Sailing Association in Utah. 

June 2026 sees the arrival of a fleet of 5 Ventures that will travel North America and include people of all abilities to the magic of sail.

Team CIS also encourages people to ride bicycles with our fleet of adaptive bicycles.  CIS is a passion project with purpose.
